The 407 was the first Bristol fitted with a Chrysler V8 5131cc rated 250BHP by manufacturers, looked similer to a 406 but coach built by a different firm, Park Royal Bodyworks. It had few things in common with the 406 apart from interior room and overall looks. The 405 to my knowledge was never fitted with a straight 8, let alone supercharged, unless in someones dreams!

WOT! The Bristol 405 had the usual straight-6 Bristol engine. I think the 406 was the first with an American V-8. But a straight 8 Bristol, or even a supercharged one - never.
