West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and completely rust free example of this highly desirable 1970 year of production of this original southern California Cadillac Coupe De Ville with all it's original factory specifications including it's original 472 c.i. 375 HP V8 engine and with only 35K original miles! The 1970 Cadillac DeVille is considered by most Cadillac enthusiasts as the most desirable of the late sixties Cadillac DeVille's due to it's being the last year of production of the larger 472/375HP engine of the 1967-70 year models. This particular example was purchased new on 6/26/1970 by it's original and only southern California owner at 'Bob Spreen Cadillac' of Downey, California and retains it's original California 'pink slip', dealer selling plate imprint, Cadillac Protect-o-Plate and owner's manual! The car has had no accidents or damage whatsoever and is in completely original condition with it's original 'Bayberry' Green paint, original beige vinyl top and black leather interior and with an unbelievable 'until you see it' only 35k original miles! The car is in a virtual time-warp and a perfect addition to any Cadillac collector's collection or simply a fantastic example of this icon of American engineering when owning a Cadillac had become a symbol of financial success and achievement! We recently purchased this car 'barn fresh' from the original owner's estate and while still parked in his original home garage. The car had not been driven regularly for some time and we have had the car fully serviced prior to sale at 'Morgan's Auto Service', classic car specialists of Santa Monica, California. Service work included: new battery and terminals, remove and install drive shaft, replace fuel lines, evacuate and recharge A/C system, replace alternator (Cost $1,140.04); replace ignition coil, vacuum hoses, points/condenser installed, replace air filter (Cost $390.76); install new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders (Cost $340.47); remove and replace power steering pressure hose from pump to gearbox (Cost $206.02). The car now drives like it must have when it left the factory floor over 39 years ago - with only 35k miles since new and obviously always garaged kept since new considering it's gorgeous condition original 'Bayberry' Green factory paint and Beige vinyl top and completely rust free body with no sun damage! The car has it's original and lovely black leather interior. The car looks very striking with only very minor imperfections, if any, for it's age. The car has very good condition carpeting with original Cadillac rubber floormats and the dashboard is in gorgeous original shape with no cracks or blemishes! All the car's options are working including all the power windows and the air conditioning. The original engine is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently - must be driven to be appreciated and seen to be believed! |
