The ROAQ - locally known as "The Rover Club" - was founded in 1976 to promote the preservation of Rover vehicles and to provide a forum for the exchange of information and assistance among owners, as well as the all important opportunity for regular social gatherings in a fun family atmosphere. The MG Car Club Of Qld was formed in 1954, with early meetings being held in club rooms in Wickham St, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The Club’s aim is to foster fellowship and competition among MG owners and enthusiasts, and to acknowledge the MG Marque and its unique place in automotive history.
