Bright's Iconic Rod Run is being held on November 7th to 9th November,2014. If you love your car, if it was built pre 77, and you want to show it off, bring it to Bright.

 

Bright has welcomed street rods, classic and custom vehicles on the second weekend in November for the past 22 years. This event attracts entrants from all around Australia and spectators from all parts of the globe. And in 2014 we will again make your Rod Run weekend one to remember.

 

With the usual Show and Shine (using independent judges), the pin up comp (hosted by Kat Creasy), swap meet (run by Bright Vehicle Preservation Society), live music (bands tba), the poker run (run by the Do Dahs), trade shows, dedicated cruise circuit, drive in, carnival and much more on offer.

This year, on November 7th-9th, 2014, the Victorian Historic Racing Register presents 40+ events over two days. Four hundred racing sports and touring cars from yesteryear including F5000’s from New Zealand to challenge the Aussies.

 

Special tributes to two motor racing icons – the late Sir Jack Brabham (World Champion 1959, ’60, ’66) and the late Harry Firth. Hundreds of classic cars on static display and special on-track parade of Brabham racing cars.

 

Entry Fee: Friday November 7 free, Saturday November 8 $35, Sunday November 9 $45, weekend Pass $70 (pensioner concession available). Historic Sandown is supporting the Wesley Mission and the meeting is presented by the Victorian Historic Racing Register, assisted by the MG Car Club of Victoria.

The Car, Bike and Truck Show at the Djerriwarrh is on Saturday November 8th, 2014 at the Melton Recreation Reserve, Reserve Road, Melton from 11.30am - 4.30pm. To avoid parade traffic approach via Melton Highway/Gisborne Road and onto High Street.

 

Free entry to the public, $5 for car, bike and truck entrants. All money going to Lions Club of Melton.
