Rockers and Revheads

Rockers and Revheads is back for a sensational weekend of rock and roll, classic cars and dancing on Saturday the 31st of October and Sunday the 1st of November at Honeysuckle Promenade and Newcastle City Hall.

The first day will include free dance workshops in swing, rock n roll, jitterbug and rockabilly at Honeysuckle Promenade, with the day culminating in a Swing Ball at Newcastle City Hall from 7:30pm.

The second day sponsored by Shannons Insurance will feature live music provided by premier rock n roll bands The Jive Bombers and the Retro Rockets, free dance lessons, 1950s fashion parade, hula hoop competitions, roller skating and other activities.

Revheads will come in droves to see displays of classic street rods, classic American cars, classic dragster bikes and classic motorcycles on Sunday.

Entry is free but it is a 1950’s rock and roll/American classic car/street rods day so is restricted to vehicles of American parentage.

“Dress up in your best Fonzie or Rizzo outfit and come along – this will be a weekend where you can get passionate about the rock n roll era and have some fun.”
