Archer Falls Fly-in Drive-in is being held on 20-21 February, 2016 at the 1253 Neurum Rd, Neurum via Woodford, QLD. There is an aircraft and vehicle ³Fly-In/Drive-In² day.
The weekend is open to all aviators, car clubs and the public, so please feel free to come along to show off your car, plane or bike and share a family fun weekend. A variety of car clubs are already attending and we are expecting good numbers and many types of classic and vintage vehicles. The venue is catered with all required facilities and camping spots are available ($5 camping, no power or water to camp sites, but all other facilities are available). Various styles of joy ride flights are there as well as vintage planes to see.
Raffles and merchandise will be available and the food will be great. Hot meals and bar will be running too, on a cash only basis; unfortunately, because of the location, credit card facilities are not available.
This venue is easy to find, great value and raises funds for Wings Around The World, created to break the Guinness World Record for the ³youngest pilot to circumnavigate the world solo in a single engine aircraft². Lachlan Smart, the 18 year old Sunshine Coast Pilot, sets off in June this year to spread his awesome message of youth development and goal setting and to bring back the record to Australia. Lachie will be there to meet and greet, so come and chat to a legend in the making!
Please feel free to print the attached flyer and encourage your club to join in this family fun weekend. If you have the date available, maybe organise a club rally? If your club wishes to attend, can you please let us know rough numbers of (a) those who may come and (b) those who may camp, by return email so we can make sure no-one goes hungry or thirsty.
