The Charters Towers Restorers Club Inc will host the 38th Annual Motor Show & Swap Meet and is being held on 10-12th June, 2016 at the Charters Towers Showgrounds. All veteran, vintage, historic, hot rod and classic motor vehicles welcome.
This event has become major event for Charters Towers attracting crowds in excess of 3000 people. For 2016, we have secured a prestigious feature attraction, Dave & Lyn Keen's 1955 "1BADFJ" FJ Holden Coupe.
Featuring two huge super cruises, Bill Henderson Observation Rally, Go-to-Whoa, Show'n'Shine and the biggest Swap Meet in North Queensland. Huge kid's entertainmant area and live band will be playing.

Downunder Beachfest

The Downunder Beachfest is a new event organised by the Australian Street Rod Federation Qld. and is a hot rod and chrome bumper era cars festival that will be held in Caloundra from the 9th - 13th June 2016.
Open to vehicles pre 83 - finned, chromed, striped, whitewalls and cool most welcome. Friday registration followed by some crusin. On Saturday there will be a street Show n Shine and more cruising. Sunday morning big brekkie, markets, driving events and cruising.

Winter Nationals

The greatest spectacle in drag racing, the Winter Nationals is on Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th June 2016 at the Willowbank Raceway, Champions Way, Willowbank.
From the amazing flame-throwing Top Fuelers right through to Junior Dragsters, every single bracket that competes for national championship honours will be on-track at the Winternationals, with more than 400 cars and bikes from all over the country expected to be on-track over four big days of racing.
Children 13 and under are admitted free to this event but are required to pay for reserved seating. Reserved seating is only available for Saturday and Sunday. Thursday and Friday you can sit anywhere in the grandstand for no extra cost.

Welcome to Cooly Rocks On 2016, the biggest 50s and 60s nostalgia festival in Australia! Over 2 kilometres of Rock 'n roll, Rockabilly, Swing music and over 1,000 hot rods, custom cars and classic vehicles lining the stunning beachfront of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads all over two huge weeks from 3rd - 13th June.
Browse through over 140 retro market stalls and 100 craft market stalls; take your taste buds back to the 50s and 60s with vintage styled food and join in the atmosphere that draws over 100,000 people back year after year. Peruse through speciality exhibitors featuring an assortment of products ranging from speciality car parts, motorcycle accessories and pin striping methods.
Check out the surf theme markets over in Kirra Beach precinct or pick up a bargain at our Swap Meet over in Jack Evans Boat Harbour.
Music fills the venues, more retro cars roll up each day and the festival builds and builds, culminating in a Grand Finale weekend where the streets are closed down, the outdoor stages are moved in and the streets come alive with street parades, shows, displays, competitions and over 1300 cars parading from Kirra to Tweed Heads each evening.

| Bop and jive your way into the Redland Showgrounds to celebrate two decades of the GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival over a three-day event that will bring back nostalgic scenes of the 1950s.
Join passionate rockabilly and hot rod enthusiasts in a celebration of all things vintage. Setting the scene will be legendary Californian band, The Paladins and Tennessee country king, Jason Lee Wilson – joined on the music bill by over 20 local rockabilly and rock n roll bands.
Cool cars, pinup pageants, lowrider cycles, kustom art shows and workshops, tiki carving, jive dancing, local and international art and vintage markets will also feature at a festival that has earned a reputation as the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting Kustom Kulture event.
