Cooly Rocks On is being held on 7-11 June, 2017 at the Coolangatta, Queensland.
Over the past six years, Cooly Rocks On has evolved to become Australia’s largest rock’n’roll and nostalgia festival and a signature event on Queensland and Australia’s event calendar. There are some exciting changes in the works for Cooly Rocks On 2017. First and foremost this year’s event will be a FREE event! We have listened to your comments and feedback and are currently working hard to enhance the entertainment with no ticketed events by the festival.
Everyone’s favourite events will be back including the Poodle Parade, Retro Markets, Dance Championships, Miss Cooly Rocks On and the signature Street Parade. Car cruises and Show ‘n Shines will continue to be the highlight of the weekend’s activities, and will occur across the Saturday and Sunday.
New in 2016 and returning in 2017, the popular drive-in movies will take place on two nights, and there are several new aspects in the works for 2017 that will be announced when the full program is launched. The festival will be shortened to a five day festival however the event schedule will be jammed packed to ensure festival goers receive the best experience possible. So get your cars, dancing shoes and best outfits ready for what will be the best Cooly Rocks On yet.

It’s that time again, five days of the coolest Retro Car Festival on the planet, celebrating the Hot Rod and Classic Car Lifestyle. The festival that delivers it all.
With entry open to Hot Rods, pre-1983 cars, motorcycles and vintage caravans, you’ll be dazzled by the eye-candy, amazed by the craftsmanship; inspired to create. Dance to the rockin’ sounds of ‘the Dirty Dukes’, ‘Old 45’, Billy Guy and more.
Five days of cruising the Sunshine Coast and the nearby Hinterland, show ‘n shines, driving events, dining, dancing, street parties, trophy’s, a Mega Car Show in the Main Street and Esplanade of Queensland’s beautiful City of Caloundra, and finishing with the infamous Sunday Evening Dinner Dance.
If you love cars, if you love retro, or if you just love hangin’ with the Kool Kats, this is the “not to be missed” event of the year – every year.

| Bop and jive your way into the Redland Showgrounds to celebrate two decades of the GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival over a three-day event that will bring back nostalgic scenes of the 1950s.
Join passionate rockabilly and hot rod enthusiasts in a celebration of all things vintage. Setting the scene will be legendary Californian band, The Paladins and Tennessee country king, Jason Lee Wilson – joined on the music bill by over 20 local rockabilly and rock n roll bands.
Cool cars, pinup pageants, lowrider cycles, kustom art shows and workshops, tiki carving, jive dancing, local and international art and vintage markets will also feature at a festival that has earned a reputation as the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting Kustom Kulture event.
