Steve McQueen’s first major movie hit was The Magnificent Seven (Yul Brynner).  McQueen went on from there to be one of the most popular movie stars of the 60’s and 70’s.

Steve McQueen did not like working with directors and producers and was known as a difficult actor.  Other notable Steve McQueen movies include Bullit, The Great Escape (James Garner), Papillon (Dustin Hoffman), and The Towering Inferno (Paul Newman) and of course the 1971 classic Le Mans.

Today, Bullit is still considered one of the greatest car movies ever made.
