On Monday, 11th June 2007, Mark Skaife won the Eastern Creek round of the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship to claim the record for the most wins in the Australian Touring Car Championship. His 38th win surpassed the late Peter Brock's record of 37 round wins.

The 38th career victory establishes Skaife as arguably the most successful and prolific touring car driver in Australian motorsport, in a career that has included five Australian Touring Car Championships and five Bathurst 1000 victories.

This is a real testament to him as a brilliant driver and ambassador to the sport.
