I was extremely happy this year when West Orange Motors was able to supply a 2021 build C-HR Koba much earlier than what had been stated. On pick-up, without prior advice, three accessories were not fitted. `No worries' - will be added on the first service. First service delayed by me, on advice that mud flaps STILL not available. Then when informed mudflaps were assigned to me, in for service. Not fitted - no mudflaps!!! A negative feedback drew a phone call as to my issue. As I live in Bathurst, I explained, dismayed by omissions and misinformation, I would MUCH PREFER to have this already-paid accessory, fitted at Bathurst Toyota. I was told that an appointment was made and West Orange Motors would foot the bill for the out-of-dealer fitting.
The day approaches and I get an SMS from West Orange Motors advising that I am to attend WOM 2 days prior to the arranged Bathurst Toyota mudflaps fitting! I phone and am put through to the appropriate person. I am told to ignore the SMS and attend the Bathurst Toyota appointment - yes, the mudflaps would be there. Two more similar West Orange Motors SMSs - my being directed to that dealership on - now - the Bathurst appointment day. I was getting nothing in writing, but decided to do as advised, disregard the WOM SMSs.
Finally the day arrives. Bathurst Toyota acknowledges that they know why I am there. A lift to my home to await a pending notification. When the afternoon was well used, I phoned Bathurst Toyota - and, frankly, was promised a quick update - which did not come. I phoned again, but the receptionist seemed to be stalling - changing the advice as to why I should not wait to speak the manager. When I asked to have a refund rather than the mudflaps - I believe I was given the REAL reason. Although the mudflaps were supposed to be at Bathurst Toyota - as twice promised beforehand to me - it seems that it was only late afternoon that they were due to arrive - and most likely too late to have them fitted. Despite trying to `tow the Toyota line' , Bathurst Toyota was as much a victim as I was. Bathurst Toyota - bless them - made a loan car available to me. Mid-morning, the DAY AFTER my early morning car drop off, my C-HR finally had the accessory I had long before purchased - mudflaps!
Bathurst Toyota did its best to `cover' for West Orange Motors. WOM proved - at least to me - an organization that I - nor as many people as I can convince - could no longer have ANY dealings with!!! Before the mudflaps had finally found themselves Bathurst Toyota bound, a young lady from WOM service, actually told me - what can I, in WOM, do - the mudflaps were at Bathurst Toyota. They had not even started that trip at the time of the conversation - and blame was already being deflected to Bathurst Toyota. If you need a Toyota, in this area, Bathurst Toyota should be your choice. Bathurst Toyota was the source of the fitting and a much needed - due to WOM inept parts/service - loan car!!
