The 23rd Johns Rod and Custom Picnic is being held on 1 November, 2015 at the John’s Rod & Custom, 74 Beaumont Road, Berwick.
From this point forward we have a theme, its no longer just The John’s Rod & Custom Picnic it’s the LIVING HISTORY Rod & Custom Picnic!
Here’s the deal. We all know there are scads of genuinely historical hot rods & customs out there under piles of other stuff in the back corners of dark sheds and garages. So I’m gunna challenge you all to drag those old things out, clean ‘em up and bring ‘em along to show ‘em off to others who may have heard the stories and legends but never seen those neat old cars face to face.
There will be a special trophy and CASH award for the kewlest car with a historical past & story to tell. So it’s just turn up on the day with your pre 1966 hot rod, kustom and join in the fun and games. Parking $10, sorry there is no public parking available. No dogs allowed.

Tallangatta Fifties Festival 2015
Towong Street, Tallangatta, Victoria

We would like to invite you to come again to our Festival and enter our Vintage, Classic Cars and Motor Bikes Show N Shine Competition to be held on 31st October to 1st November, 2015.
Cars and motor bikes should arrive and register before 12 noon on Sunday, then line up in the centre of Tallangatta next to our grassed town centre we call the Triangles. Judging will take place between 12pm and 2pm.
Juding categories are pre 1930 original, 1930-1949 original, 1929-1949 modified, 1950-1965 original, 1950-1965 modified, 1966-1980 original, 1966-1980 modified, motor cycle pre 1970, classic truck pre 1970.
Results will be announced on the main stage at 2pm. Cost is $15 for one vehicle with 2 adults. There is no entry fee and you will be automatically be eligible for Shannon's Choice Prizes.
Visitors can enjoy jam sessions, dance performances, market stalls, classic cars, a fifties fashion parade, memorabilia from the Laminex table era, various busking styles of the 50’s, the arts and a real slice of life in the 50’s.
