The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is being held over the 17th November to the 20th November 2016 and this year has three main sections to cater all car enthusiasts - the Prima Tour on the 17th November, Classic Adelaide Rally on the 17th to 19th November and the Victoria Park Sprint which is being held on the 19th and 20th of November 2016.
The Prima Tour is the perfect event to do with your partner and has cars, famous faces, driving experiences, superb scenery, food and wine by notable gourmet gurus. Covering 335 kilometres it runs from 8am to 6pm.
In 2016, the Classic Adelaide Rally returns as a major component of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, recreating the iconic and world renowned tarmac rally of South Australia that was held between 1996 and 2009.
The Victoria Park Sprint is a virtual “museum-in-motion”. A two-day festival that draws upon South Australia’s rich motorsport history and celebrates and re-enacts motorsport competition of a by-gone era.
Held on a section of the historic Adelaide Grand Prix Circuit, the Victoria Park Sprint is Formula One focused and rounded out with a diverse field of historic touring cars, sports cars and classic motorcycles as well as displays from some of the greatest classic cars from across the years as well as selected modern categories. The on track action is competitive and timed and sees over 220 cars on track in over 17 categories.
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is true and authentic to South Australia’s rich motor racing heritage whilst creating new event experiences with relevance and meaning to the Australian motor racing enthusiast.
