The non-alcohol family event will incorporate a huge show and shine, cruise the venue sessions, grass driving events, traders, kids rides, swap meet, car coral and even a dual drive-in Cinema set up on the oval on Saturday night! Its going to be an event like no other held in the picturesque NSW Southern Highlands, with the room to expand by adding more exciting elements as the event grows! Amongst others on offer, there are just 16 of the Top 20 Trophies left to sponsor, and one of them could have your name on it! Valued at $300, these unique awards are to be chosen by the entrants themselves and will be handed over on Sunday afternoon in a way never before seen here. MOSS VALE SHOW GROUNDS IN THE PICTURESQUE NSW SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS! 


Killer Rides Live was previously an indoor event which limited how many cars we could accept entries from. We certainly don't have that issue anymore with the switch to an outdoor, two-day custom car festival! The spacious Moss Vale Showgrounds could easily handle 1000 cars if the event ever grew to that size! 

So from 11th and 12th August 2018, Killer Rides Live will change from a static indoor show to a full-tilt motoring extravaganza featuring a huge show and shine, grass driving events, cruise the venue sessions, Club games, kids rides, a dual drive-in night on the grounds on Saturday night, a sound-off and much more... Check out the program to see what's happening and when it will be. 

If you've already checked out the trophy list, you'll notice we are doing things a little differently. There's no formal judging scheduled for Killer Rides Live. I feel the best trophy to win is one picked by your peers. That's why there is just a Top 20 which will be picked by other entrants. You all get one vote to pick your car of the show! Simple. That eliminates any bias that some believe happens in the car show scene. Also, it means that everyone is in with a chance. If your car has broad appeal and huge impact, but may not technically be the best car there, you could still win. I have also added some fun awards that I will be personally picking and there will also be several Pro's Pick's - trophies awarded by well-known identities in the car scene as their pick of the show. I'm not going to say too much right now about how we will present the trophies but it will be much different to more other shows. And the Top 20 Trophies themselves??? Well, you're going to love these! More on those soon once the prototype is done. 

The whole idea around Killer Rides Live #2 is to have fun with cars. So we're making this a non-alcohol, family-friendly event. We want everyone to come along and have a good time. Our prices aren't outrageous either as we want to be able to cater for everyone - no matter what their budget is.

Over 1900 Veteran and Classic vehicles from over 150 clubs on display and on parade, including cars, motorbikes, scooters and military vehicles, police vehicles, ambulances and fire engines. And it’s on rain, hail or shine. 

 

There’s also plenty to see and do indoors. Double-decker bus rides around the track (gold coin donation for the Bus Museum) Trade displays in Pit Garages all day with books, models and all sorts of memorabilia available for sale and the free spirit markets. Live music, with Pink Cadillac & The Escalators. Don’t forget, this is very close to Father’s Day, so come along and pick up a gift that Dad will love.

 

It’s a day for all the family with lots of things for dad, mum and not forgetting the kids with clowns, face painting and lots more. All the services will be there; SES, RFS Marine Rescue etc. General Admission Sunday 12th, $20, free entry for kids under 12 years. Public parking for Sunday is via Gate B on Peter Brock drive and is included in your GA ticket. ARDC Members parking on P3, via Gate A Ferrers Rd. Gates open to the public at 10am.
