The Brighter Days Festival is being held in Outside The Alpine Hotel, Bright on the 9-11 March 2018 over the Labour Day Weekend.
Friday (9 March)
The Alpine Hotel Stage, in Mafeking Square will kick off the weekend entertainment with live music from 5pm. The Brighter Days Festival merchandise van, the Mega Raffle & Event Registrations tent will also be open from 5pm in Mafeking square before relocating to the Howitt Park Precinct for operation all day Saturday and Sunday.
Friday night will also be a FREE family Movie Night, down by the river for kids and families, where we will be showing a ‘G’ Movie for kids, between 6-8pm. (bring your own chair/picnic rug)
Saturday (10 March)
The Festival continues early on Saturday morning with the Make it, Bake it, Grow it Market in Howitt Park (until midday) and the Cooper Card Run (poker run) registrations in Harley Central – a dedicated bike zone located behind the Riverstage, Sibley Sound Shell.
There is a dedicated Cooper Card Run parking and departure point for all participating cars located on Back German Town Road. It’s an easy walk across the footbridge for car owners to register, receive the first card and the route before we synchronise the Cooper Card Run Bike and Car departures around 10am.
The Cooper Card Run will travel a local area loop with 4 stops to receive subsequent cards to make up the ‘Poker Hand’. Once the Cooper Card Run returns to the event precinct, additional cards can be purchased from the Poker Run tent at Harley Central in order to secure the winning hand!
LIVE MUSIC kicks off on the Riverstage from 10am until 10pm Saturday.
Sunday (11 March)
It’s another early start on Sunday morning with first in getting the best spots for the Car Show ‘n Shine held around Mafeking Square. Entertainment will be provided from 10.30am on the Alpine Hotel Stage. Meanwhile the bikes will be on show in the Bike Show ‘n Shine at Harley Central.
The Babes Longest Lunch will be an unforgettably elegant affair held at Boyton’s Feathertop Winery between 11am – 1.30pm Sunday. Babes Buses will depart from the Brighter Days Bus Zone outside the Alpine Info Centre on Gavan St at 10.40am and will return by 2pm.
There will be live music on Sunday on the Riverstage from midday until 10pm. The Mega raffle draw for the Harley Davidson customized Mustang and charity items will be auctioned on Sunday at 6pm.
