40th Historic Winton is being held on 27-29 May, 2016 at the Winton Motor Raceway, VIC. It is conducted by the Austin 7 Club, with assistance from the Historic Motorcycle Racing Association Vic, runs Sat 28 - Sun 29 May 2016 at Winton Motor Raceway, near Benalla, Victoria, Australia.
Australia's largest and most popular all-historic motor race meeting presents a weekend of non-stop racing featuring over 400 historic racing cars and motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s.
2016 highlights include Shannon's Classic Car Park, pre-1975 Classic Car, Bike & Historic Commercial Vehicle Show, All-Makes Historic Motorbike gathering, Vintage Caravans, Wooden Speed Boats, Go Karts, Steam Engines and spectator access to the Competition Paddock. If you arrive in a Classic or Special-Interest car or bike, park yourself in the Spectator Display Area.
2016 Historic Winton celebrates anniversaries of Austin, Lagonda, Nash, Penrite Oil, Pontiac, Morris Oxford Flatnose, Chrysler Imperial, SS Jaguar 100, first diesel-powered car Mercedes 260D, MG TA, Fiat Topolino, Harley Knucklehead, American Jeep, Singer Gazelle, Cooper 500, Willys Jeep Station Wagon, Renault Dauphine, Triumph Roadster, Jowett Bradford
Van, Vespa, Berkeley Sports, Holden FE, Austin A35, Go Karts, Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Camaro, Holden HR, Fiat Dino, XR Falcon, Lotus Europa, Formula Junior.
Raceway entry fees: Sat $30, Sun $35, weekend $55, pit $5, children 16 and under n/c. As part of 2016 Historic Winton weekend activities, join the Benalla District Classic Car - Motorbike Tour assembling 9am at the Benalla Art Gallery on Friday 27 May.
