Description:
Motul Grand Prix of Japan
Twin Ring Motegi Mashiko-machi Haga-gun, Tochigi, Japan

Witness the incredible braking forces seen nowhere else in the world other than the Twin Ring Motegi circuit when MotoGP™ rolls into town! Join us trackside for the utterly wonderful Japanese GP!

Last year, the Austrian GP was replayed at Motegi – but in the pouring rain. The Japanese venue staged a masterclass of precision and skill as Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) fought it out throughout, and everything came down to the final lap. ‘DesmoDovi’ took the win, again withstanding a last corner attack from Marquez, and became the first man to defeat the rider from Cervera in a last lap duel in which the number 93 had begun that lap in the lead. Danilo Petrucci impressed once more to complete the podium for Pramac. In Moto2™, Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) put in a wet weather tactical masterclass to take his first intermediate class win outside Spain – and Romano Fenati once again was the class of the field in the wet in Moto3™, winning by four seconds.

About the circuit
Located amongst the vast natural beauty of the northern Kanto district, the twin ring circuit at Motegi in Japan consists of a 1.5 mile oval and a 2.9 mile road course constructed to international standards. Built by Honda as the ultimate test facility in August 1997, the road circuit became home to MotoGP in 2000 whilst the oval is designed to introduce American motorsports culture to the country.

Twin Ring Motegi is a major attraction for motorsports fans all year round as it is the venue for the Honda Collection Hall, a museum which houses an illustrious collection of motorcycle, car and racing machines from throughout the ages. The complex also includes a safety and riding school, dirt track, go-karts, hotel, restaurant, shops and event halls and currently employs some 300 staff.
