Wheels of Wamboin
Wamboin Community Hall On Bingley Way, Wamboin

The Wamboin Community Association is hosting the Wheels of Wamboin on Saturday the 18th of April 2015 at the Wamboin Community Hall on Bingley Way, Wamboin (a 20 min drive from Canberra).

The event is for all things automotive and will be held in conjunction with the Wamboin Home Produce markets from 9 am to 1 pm.

All sorts of automotive machines including old, new and interesting cars, motor bikes, trucks and even tractors are welcome. Display entry is a gold coin donation and swap tables are $5 (remember to bring your cash as there is no EFTPOS). Last year we had over 75 vehicles on display along with a stationary engine display.

As usual there was an enormous variety of vehicles and the “People’s Choice” award (the one and only award presented) went to a very rare and superb 1955 Swallow Doretti for the second year running, but not the same one as last year. This Swallow was red and owned by the brother of last year’s winner, a silver one! The Swallow is only 1 of 276 cars ever made and now two of them have won our award.

Vintage and Classic Pre 1960s Car Rally
Cooma Monaro Area And Foothills Of The Snowy Mountains
18^th-19^th April, 2015 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
 

Cooma Car Club will be running a new event, to be known as the Vintage & Classic Pre 1960s Car Rally over the weekend of the 18-19 April 2015. The rally will be run over scenic sealed roads of the Cooma Monaro area and foothills of the Snowy Mountains.

The new rally is now being planned and organised, because it is considered that many owners of pre-1960s cars don’t enter in the typical Classic Car events like the recent Surf to Summit Rally, because their older cars have difficulty keeping up with the more powerful models which became available in the 1960s up to the early 1980s. The Cruising Nationals
Deniliquin Aerodrome And Town Centre
17 – 19 April, 2015 (4:00 PM - 1:00 PM)

The Cruising Nationals is held on 17 – 19 April, 2015 at the Deniliquin Aerodrome And Town Centre. Deniliquin will be the home of the annual Cruising Nationals, Australia's newest and coolest pre 1975 car event. Deniliquin is only 40 minutes north of Echuca or 290 kms from Melbourne.

Over 3 days, there will be live bands, 1/4 mile drags, burnout competition, go to whoa, dirt drags, cruising, a car show and much more. Plus there will be a chance to win the 1932 Roadster, which is one of the three major prizes drawn on the 19th of April 2015.

There will be live bands over 3 days and a street party in-conjunction with Saturday night cruising, great Sunday market, retail trade stalls open over the three day event. Family orientated and fun for all.

Peugeot Pageant
Yass, New South Wales
17 – 20 April, 2015
 

The Peugeot Association of Canberra has pleasure in inviting all other Peugeot clubs to join them in Yass for the 2015 Peugeot Pageant, which will now be held from Friday 17 to Monday 20 April.

Home base for the pageant will be Swaggers Motor Inn in Yass. A highlight of the weekend will be a visit to the Binalong Car Museum, which houses a small but eclectic collection of cars including Bugatti and Delarge.

The Pageant will broadly follow the successful format of previous pageants including concours (Sat morning), driving skills/motorkhana (Sat afternoon), observation run to Binalong (Sun), presentation dinner (Sun night) and farewell breakfast (Mon). Further information, including costs, will be made available in the registration circular.
