I have a 77 Mark V with a 460 CID engine. I had to replace the fuel tank. I ordered a tank from a local vendor and when it came and I took my old one off, the old one had a vent tube from the tank up through the filler tube to above the hose insertion hole. The new tank does not have this vent tube. My question is do I need to find a tank with the vent tube or will the new one I have work? Even the Ford garage doesn’t know.
