Downdraught Carburettor
Type of carburettor, almost invariably of the fixed-choke type, in which the flow of air and fuel is vertically downwards, so that gravity assists injection to the induction manifold. Although variable-choke carburettors of near downdraught type were formerly produced, they now normally have a horizontal flow. |
