hey guys first time on the website but its looking good, keep up the good work!
Just a quick question i have just bought an 84 model WB ute with a blue 202 in it. Now im only 17 and am a bit of a speed freak and was wondering what sort of mods i can do to the engine without spending a huge amount of money?
Say below $1,500?
It would be a big help if you guys could help out on this one
cheers |

Hi Greeny,
If the WB is to be a daily driver then it may pay to start out with a HEI ignition system which will add a little power and make the WB ute much easier to live with day to day.
Next look at the exhaust system, and extractors will help the 202 breathe a little better thus liberating extra kW. If you have some money left over, fit a better carby such as a Weber of Holley.
Finally, if you have some money left over, see if you can find a performance head for fitment. Remember that you can place a free classified in the "Wanted" section of the site, a good second hand unit may help locate one that will fit within your budget. |
