Photo submitted by Mark Agnew 2 x Ascorts under restoration. The blue car was originally dark blue and I believe it was sold new to South Australia. It then moved to Victoria and was owned by a doctor or members of his family. (Rego AYT-245 and painted a lighter shade of blue). In the mid 1980s it sold to a West Australia owner where it sat in a shed for over 20 years before I purchased it. Currently under restoration. My second Ascort was originally registered BXL-022 and was one of the first Ascorts built. When near new it was crashed into a tree by the designer Mirek Craney. It was repaired, painted white, and had several owners in the Sydney area before becoming derelict in the early 1970s. I have had the car sitting for many years, but with the advent of the internet, information and contact with other owners and knowledgeable people has become possible. Currently under restoration. There are 13 known Ascorts remaining in various states of repair. 4 in Adelaide 2 in Melbourne 1 in Sydney 1 in country NSW 1 in Perth 2 in country Qld 1 in Brisbane 1 in Sunshine Coast Qld
