Photo submitted by BEEVEE My.Workshop.had.a.very.old.client.that.purchased.this.SIX.new,in.1974........(RIP.Wally) In,1989.with.less.than.10,000kms.use.and.dints.from."touch/driving",his.family.convinced.him.to.hand.in.his.licence;much.as.he.loved.this.Marina. Hard.as.we.tried.we.couldn't.even.give,this.car.away.as.a.gift;given.Marina.history. Being.a.hoarder,I.couldnt.help.myself,so.I.adopted.this.unwanted.waif.for.reasons.that.included.;ONE.OWNER.hardly.run.in.FREE.and.I.was.its.only.Mechanic..........and.I.thought.it.drove.quite.nicely.on.Melbourne.roads. POWER.was.in.abundance!.......a.missing.quality.from.anything.Pommy.except.a.Cooper.S.or.a.RangeRover.which.I.also.own.of.the.same.1974.era(rare.2-door) For.better.or.for.worse.I.still.own.both. I.had.a.spare.AM.Radio.from.a.clients.new.XD.Falcon.who.wanted.PIONEER.AM/FM/Cassette.system.fitted..........A.great.fit.considering.no.radio.was.ever.fitted;yet.another.reason.among.thousands.why.Leyland.went.to.the.wall........I.cannot.recall.any.other.1974.Make.that.didnt.provide.a.basic.radio.on.their.most.expensive.model.......shameful. Having.had.workshop.experiences.with.the.worst.product.Leyland.ever.made.called.the.NOMAD.withAutomatic.Transmission,I.knew.the.Marina6.would."never.let.go".like.that.NOMAD.rubbish.that.took.Brentmor.Leyland(Authorised.Leyland.Dealer)of.Cheltenham.Melbourne.some.2.years.and.a.court.case.to.realise.they.couldnt.even.fix.their.own.Automatic.Transmission.They.were.forced.to.buy.the.client.ANY.car.of.the.clients.choice.for.same.price.they.paid.for.the.NOMAD.plus.all.my.expenses.and.clients.taxi.bills,etc.
