The Kin Kin Kampout 2010 will take place on 20th, 21st & 22nd August at Kin Kin Community Grounds.
Again there will be FREE camping for our Entrants (thanks to the Country Life Hotel's generousity) so come along and enjoy the entire weekends entertainment.
Friday night : You will be able to show off your talents at the Karaoke night with "Camel" the resident DJ or Or just relax around one of the fires catch up with mates.
Saturday : We are going on a scenic cruise through the Hinterland stopping at the 'Appollonian Hotel 'at Boreen Point for Lunch. Then we get to go and enjoy come classic car movies. They dont get any more Classic than 1920's Silent movies at the Majestic Theatre in Pomona. Refurbished in 2007 the theatre is back in full swing, offering silent classics featuring Buster Keating, Harold Lloyd, Rudolph Valentino and many more. This theatre is officially recognised as the only place in World you can still experience a fully operational Silent Picture House. After the movie we go "Just over the road" to Lozzas Rock and Roll Cafe for a coffee or a shake. Then back to Kin Kin with time to relax, chat and prepare yourself for the nights entertainment.
Sunday:
Show and shine arrival (for the non campers) and setup from 7 am
Breakfast available from 7.30am
Gates open to the Public at 9.00am so we need all cars inside and setup before then, thanks
Rock and Roll band playing from mid morning. Stall holders
Hot food and Cold drinks available on the grounds and also at the Hotel.
Fund raising Auction, Presentations and lucky entrants draw 1.30pm
Pack up and head home or stay and relax for another night.
Bop and jive your way into the Redland Showgrounds to celebrate two decades of the GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival over a three-day event that will bring back nostalgic scenes of the 1950s.
Join passionate rockabilly and hot rod enthusiasts in a celebration of all things vintage. Setting the scene will be legendary Californian band, The Paladins and Tennessee country king, Jason Lee Wilson – joined on the music bill by over 20 local rockabilly and rock n roll bands.
Cool cars, pinup pageants, lowrider cycles, kustom art shows and workshops, tiki carving, jive dancing, local and international art and vintage markets will also feature at a festival that has earned a reputation as the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting Kustom Kulture event.
