The Autofest Performance Car Festivals are proud to announce the news of Melbourne in coming part of the Annual Event Series with this iconic venue being the “Melbourne Showgrounds” from February 8th and 9th 2014.
To be known as the “Melbourne Performance Showdown” this event will cover all aspects of the
Australian Performance Car Scene with Trader information booths from some of the most
Recognised names within the industry to High Performan...ce events such as the side by side Action of the Heads Go To Whoa event and lets see who does really does have Melbourne's most Powerful car when its proved on the onsite Dyno Comp. Other events will include the Mayhem that is the Mighty Burnout
Competition as well as the judging of the Streetcar and Showcar Supreme.
Melbourne has been missing a true Performance Car Event for far too long and the Autofest Crew have searched high and low to find such a location and were fortunate to meet with the Melbourne
Showgrounds Management and after much deliberation an agreement between the two parties for this event to be staged was reached.
This season also marks our 21st year celebrations of the Shepparton Springnats as well as the 36th year celebrations of Australia's longest running Street Machine event the Mount Gambier Autofest & Show N Shine add to this the 3rd running of the ever expanding Bathurst Autofest the 2013/2014 Autofest
Season is shaping up to be the best ever.
The Valvoline Autofest Series are pleased with the latest announcement and look forward to a continued long term relationship with this iconic institution.
The Valvoline Autofest Series includes the, Shepparton Springnats Nov 22nd to 24th 2013,
Mount Gambier SA Jan 25th & 26th 2014, Melbourne Performance Showdown Feb 8th and 9th 2014 and Mount Panorama Bathurst NSW, March 8th & 9th 2014. Each year the Valvoline Autofest Series attract 100’s of competing entrants and many thousand spectators over the weekends providing a unique
environments to compare and compete.
All our Autofest events are alcohol free and thus promote a true family atmosphere where spectators are able to enjoy the enthusiasm and excitement of a motor vehicle event in a friendly environment. This has been evidenced by the fact of strong crowd attendances consisting largely of families of all ages.
The Valvoline Autofest Series was established in Shepparton Vic by a group of motoring enthusiast’s back in 1990 for the benefit of the region’s clubs and motor sport lovers and it quickly grew in popularity where today it is one of the largest Motorsport Series of its kind in Australia. The series has been proved to be a considerable boost to the local economy’s wherever visited.
