Rocklea Swap Meet and Collector Car Display

The vintage Chev Club’s swap meet is held on 10th August 2014. We had over 1,300 participants pass through the gates last year and 2014 will be our 43rd swap.
We are known as the Chev Car Club swap but parts for all makes of vehicles are welcomed. Stallholders sell a variety of goods, not all vehicle-related. Held at Rocklea Showgrounds with stall-holders’ entry through gate in Goburra Street, Rocklea. Gates open at 5:30am.
Sites are free and size of site is not restricted. There are no powered sites available and no camping. Entry $5 per person. Food tent is located within the swap area and is conducted by the Lions Club which has exclusive rights to the sale of food at the swap.
Free parking is available within the showgrounds. A special area within the swap oval is set aside for the safe parking and the display of collector cars. Dogs are not permitted.

Cruise to the Show n Shine at Marburg Showgroundson 10th August, 2014. Marburg Showgrounds are located in Queen Street, Marburg, 50km west of Brisbane.
Cruise entrants will depart Archerfield BP between 8am-9am, travelling to Marburg. Spectators $5 entry into Showgrounds from 10am.
Show n Shine classes inlcude hot rods, classic cars, modern, utes and hi-tech tuners. Entry for judged cars is $20, entry for display only cars $10. Entry prices include 2 adults per entered car. No alcohol permitted. No dogs allowed.

Highway Thunder Convoy for Kids

Highway Thunder is a convoy of thousands of cars, trucks, motorbikes and other roadworthy vehicles travelling to Parklands Gold Coast under a police escort. All vehicles will proudly display “Protect our Kids” car flags in a show of support for the victims of child sexual assault on 10th August, 2014.
There are two departure points - Yatala Drive In, 100 Stapylton-Jacobs Well Road and Tugun, corner Kitchener St and Coolangatta Road. Leaving at 8am in convoy to the Gold Coast, 9:30am vehicles begin to arrive at Parklands Gold Coast, 10am family fun day begins – live entertainment, activities for the kids, prizes and more! 12.30pm Show & Shine presentation and prizes awarded.
Entry fees are only $15 per vehicle. Family fun includes face painters, balloon artists, rides for the children, food, drink, car show n shine, truck show n shine and bike show n shine. Entry form available on website.

The Ormeau Fair is in its 8th year, 9th August, and the attendance at each year's fair has been growing rapidly and we are expecting 2014 to be the best year yet. As part of the Ormeau Fair there is a Show & Shine on Sunday 10 August 2014.
Fair organisers are offering individual owners of classic cars the opportunity to attend and show off their beauty. There is an entrance fee of $20 and judging is done by the viewing public.

The Nostalgia Drags is on 10th August 2014 at Willowbank Raceway, Champions Way. Gates open 6am, qualifying from 9am, racing from 1pm. Pre-entries will be available on the website. No on day entries will be accepted.
Entry Fee - $100 Driver only. Crew passes $20 purchased at time of entry only (Purchase online as Racer Discount passes). Spectators $25 per adult, students with ID $20, kids 13 and under are free.
Enter your vehicle into our Show n Shine for no extra cost. Trophies will be presented around 2pm.

| Bop and jive your way into the Redland Showgrounds to celebrate two decades of the GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival over a three-day event that will bring back nostalgic scenes of the 1950s.
Join passionate rockabilly and hot rod enthusiasts in a celebration of all things vintage. Setting the scene will be legendary Californian band, The Paladins and Tennessee country king, Jason Lee Wilson – joined on the music bill by over 20 local rockabilly and rock n roll bands.
Cool cars, pinup pageants, lowrider cycles, kustom art shows and workshops, tiki carving, jive dancing, local and international art and vintage markets will also feature at a festival that has earned a reputation as the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting Kustom Kulture event.
