The Rocklea Swap Meet and Collector Car Displayis being held on 14 August, 2016 at the Rocklea Showground, Corner Ipswich Road Service Road And Goburra Street, Rocklea.
The vintage Chev Club’s swap meet is held on the second Sunday of August each year. We had over 1,300 participants pass through the gates last year and 2016 will be our 45th swap.
We are known as the Chev Car Club swap but parts for all makes of vehicles are welcomed. Stallholders sell a variety of goods, not all vehicle-related. Held at Rocklea Showgrounds with stall-holders’ entry through gate in Goburra Street, Rocklea. Gates open at 5:30am. Sites are free and size of site is not restricted. There are no powered sites available and no camping. Entry $5 per person. Food tent is located within the swap area and is conducted by the Lions Club which has exclusive rights to the sale of food at the swap.
Free parking is available within the showgrounds. A special area within the swap oval is set aside for the safe parking and the display of collector cars. Dogs are not permitted. Bookings not necessary.

Cairns Swap Meet Car, Bike and Truck Show

The 2016 Cairns Swap Meet Car Bike & Truck show is on at the Cairns Showgrounds on Sunday 14TH August 2016. Swap sites, stationary engines, show cars-vintage to modern, motorcycles, show trucks.
Gates open 6am. Show presentation 1pm. There are no pre registration requirements for show vehicles, just be in by 9.30am if you want to be included in judging. Cars Bikes and Trucks will be points judged.
Swap site holders can set up on Saturday afternoon,after 2pm and camp over night. Top of the State Hot Rod Club will have BBQ food for sale on the Saturday evening. Pre registration not required, just turn up on the day. Camping fees which are charged by the Cairns Show Assn are $6.60 for unpowered and $13 for a powered site for a caravan etc.
This show is about participation, but there will be some trophies and give aways as usual. Please bring along your special vehicle, daily drivers, cars under construction. No club affiliation is required, if you have friends with interesting vehicles bring them along too. The theme of the day is fun.

Rum City Vintage Machinery and the Bullyard Hall Committee are holding a Vintage Machinery Show on the 13th and 14th August 2016 at the Bullyard Hall Grounds.
Event features vintage cars and bikes, vintage machinery and memorabilia, working displays of chaff cutting and hay baling, stationary engines and models and a tractor pull. Catering on site along with market stalls. Entry $3 with primary school children free.
Friday setup, Saturday the fun bit, Sunday pack up. Free unpowered exhibitor camping available.

The Seaforth Car Show is being held on the 13th and 14th August 2016 and welcomes hot rods, classics and customs. The event is held 30km north of Mackay.
Saturday 8.30am breakfast at the Old Station Teahouse in Seaforth, 10am cruise around the district and 1pm lunch/game of golf. Sunday 8am swap meet and markets. Entry for cars from 8-11am. Judging commences 11.30am with trophy presentation from 2pm.

| Bop and jive your way into the Redland Showgrounds to celebrate two decades of the GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival over a three-day event that will bring back nostalgic scenes of the 1950s.
Join passionate rockabilly and hot rod enthusiasts in a celebration of all things vintage. Setting the scene will be legendary Californian band, The Paladins and Tennessee country king, Jason Lee Wilson – joined on the music bill by over 20 local rockabilly and rock n roll bands.
Cool cars, pinup pageants, lowrider cycles, kustom art shows and workshops, tiki carving, jive dancing, local and international art and vintage markets will also feature at a festival that has earned a reputation as the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting Kustom Kulture event.
