The Rally Ground Maitland, New South Wales 2320
Hunter Valley Steamfest, celebrates Maitland’s rich steam and industrial heritage and has cemented itself as Australia’s premier festival of steam, attracting tens of thousands of people each year. Steamfest was established in 1986 following the closure of the last coal operated steam hauled freight service in Australia on the South Maitland Railway Line in 1983, Steamfest pays homage to the end of an industrial era and the men and women involved in its operation.

The Tenterfield Transport Museum Show n Shine is being held on the 14th April 2019 at the museum. If you can drive it, ride it, tow it or start it then bring it along to the show n shine. Gates open at 7am for competitors (entry from Miles Street) and 9am for the public. Entry is $5 per person for both public and entrants with children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult. A large category range and great prizes.
