What is Beat The Blue???
Have you ever wanted to see if you could match a Highway Patrol officer in your own car? Do you think you can beat the blue? Now with the help of our sponsors and the support of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command - NSW Police Force you will have the opportunity to go head to head with a highway patrol officer in an operational highway patrol car on a specially designed motorkhana style layout on the 7th Sept at Sydney Motorsport Park. Big thanks to the people at SMP who made the event possible also.
The aim of the event is to give people the opportunity to drive their car in a safe environment and get some tips from professional Driving Solution instructors and HWP officers. HWP officers do extensive training on a skid pan as part of their driver training and see this event a great opportunity to pass on some of their knowledge. We would really like to thank the executive of the HWP Command for getting on board with a project that is 'outside the square' for the good of the community.
Thanks to the generosity of Driving Solutions and Royal Purple Australia 100% of entry fees, merchandise sales and raffle ticket sales will go directly to Legacy. Every dollar you spend goes directly to charity. With the cost of entering only a fraction of the usual cost of a skid pan day.
On top of the action on the pan, the cool kids from Yakuza Motorsports have come on board to run our famous Show and Shine which will include an extensive collection of trade stands, food trucks and a comprehensive Police display. With plenty of trophies up for grabs.
The action will be split into two with a head to head group event giving all entrants the opportunity to go side by side with a HWP officer. This will end with the final tally crowning the group winner. Next up the knockout will begin with the last person standing awarded the overall BTB champion for 2019.
The event is 100% free to come along and watch. Our raffle will be back on again with some outrages prizes on offer.
