This event is to celebrate and recreate the fun of air strip drag racing. Races were held on air strips across the USA throughout the 60’s and 70’s with old school hot rods and golden era muscle cars. We would like to invite a diverse group of car guys/racers to provide an interesting day for everyone involved. Back in the day racers raced whatever they could afford and modify, the event is open to all cars pre 1968. Come celebrate the Gold Coast's street culture and street art scene on Saturday 29 February at Street Beats.
Nerang Street Mall, Southport will be transformed into a hive of street culture with live music, graffiti art, DJ’s, breakdancing, beatboxing, flair rider stunt bikes, parkour demonstrations and a kids ninja obstacle course.
Headlining the main stage will be Triple J’s unearthed winners, Bugs, supported by Burleigh based Lemaire, Gratis Minds and Teigan La Plastrier.
Australia’s only beatboxing event emcee, Jonny Drama, will be entertaining us on the mic and emceeing the beatboxing and breakdancing battles!
A number of young locals will battle it out to become Street Beats’ champion breakdancer or beatboxer.
The flair rider stunt bikes are a high action choreographed show crossing the boundaries between Trails, BMX and Freestyle Moto-X and will thrill as they perform some of the biggest tricks ever attempted on trials motorcycles.
Join the competition to draw the best caricature with graffiti artists giving two lucky locals the chance to have their drawing come alive and be spray painted on the event graffiti wall.
Kids can get involved with a ninja warrior obstacle course for them to master!

Street Beats is a free event delivered by the City of Gold Coast and proudly supported by Channel Nine Gold Coast.
To reduce waste, bottled water will not be sold at the event – instead, free water refills will be available so bring your own bottle.

THE DETAILS
On Saturday the 29th of February Freightliner Sunshine Coast will transform it's dealership once again into a huge Big Boys Toys arena featuring a plethora of beautifully restored and loved TOYS. This year's show will be bigger than ever and will star Bryan and the boys from Farrows Customs, who will perform live, high octane stunts and tricks on their legendary Harley Davidson bikes.
The outdoor, afternoon, free event, has something for the whole family including live music, complimentary local craft beers drinks and snack food. Plus there will be a heap of cool, big, prizes for best on show (categories to be announced watch this space) and a bouncy castle, show bags and heaps of fun for the kids too.

Furbilicious Kebabs is where it’s at, so make your way over, park up and enjoy a delicious Furbies kebab, check out and admire the cool cars, catch up with friends and chat to like minded motoring enthusiasts.
This event is completely free and welcomes all forms of cars including JDM, Euro, Muscle, Classic, Hot Rod, Aussie, 4WD’s & Bikes.

GOLD COAST MEET:
Furbilicious Kebabs at 6pm 29/2/20
Corner of Ferry Road & Meron Street, Southport, Gold Coast QLD 4215.
Leave at 8:00pm for the Cruise.
CRUISE:
Leaving for cruise destination at 8pm.
Cruise location will be revealed on the night at the meet location Furbilicious Kebabs.
Will be written down on the QLD Cruising Board, located in front of the cars near the Furbies shop.
“Please read the cruise details given carefully as nothing will be posted on here about the cruise destination”.
**CONDITION OF ATTENDANCE**
No burnouts on arrival, at the event, on the cruise or on departure.
Reframe from excessive revving.
No bad language.
Use the bins provided for all rubbish.
Respect fellow enthusiasts as well as the public.
Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
